Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets Falls To Northview

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets fell to Northview 5-2 on Thursday at Northview High School.

Northview got on the board in the first inning after Makenna Dusendang singled, scoring one run.

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets took the lead, 2-1, in the top of the third thanks to singles by Drew Galey, and Alexa Hyler.

Northview jumped into the lead in the bottom of the third when Katelyn Allen singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Navaeh Plaster earned the win for Northview. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking two. Emily Rice took the loss for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. The pitcher went six innings, allowing five runs (two earned) on eight hits, striking out five and walking none.

Hyler and Galey were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. Rice, Hyler, Galey, Aubrie Uebele, and Brooke Lindquist each collected one hit for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets turned one double play in the game.

Penny Frymire and Dusendang each collected two hits for Northview. Frymire, Dusendang, and Allen each drove in one run for Northview.

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets will travel to Northview for their next game on Thursday.
