Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run.
Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Alexa Hyler and Cam Klco.
West Catholic Varsity Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a triple by Cate Sanders, and an error.
Emily Rice began the game for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking one. Jordan Empie led things off in the circle for West Catholic Varsity Falcons. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and three runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking none.
Hyler and Klco were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. Klco went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets in hits.
